My name is Trina Pavur and I am from Washington state. My 1st grader was in public school for kindergarten, but rarely attended school in person due to overwhelming Covid-19 restrictions and mandates. I homeschooled him for 1st grade, we are almost finished with the year. I have jumped around with different websites, workbooks, worksheets, videos and more, trying to find something to ignite his love of learning again and to teach him valuable lessons instead of memorizing to test well. I'm so thankful I didn't give up and I found this website with amazing resources. Like many families, I am trying to homeschool for free, with the exception of art and other materials. Please list any advice, tips, tricks, books, websites or activities you loved or disliked.

Hello, Trina, and welcome - I'm so happy you found the site! It sounds like you and your first-grader have been keeping busy... feel free to grab any Moteaco resources you need. You're also the very first post in the new Moteaco forum, so thanks! :)
